Co-Arc collaborated with Design Effects, to produce a modern interior for the offices the World Bank Group in Accra, Ghana, that reflects the ethos of the institution and the spirit of place.

The essence of the design intent was to ensure that interiors echoed the social, cultural and environmental relevance of the architecture. Referencing cultural symbolism by association rather than literally, the modern interiors were designed with a palette of off-shutter concrete and timber, and the use of colour was introduced in glazing elements and focal walls.

Through creative collaboration with Design Effects, the soft interior of the World Bank Group Offices rounds off the building as a cohesive whole, achieving a simple elegant integration of traditional and modern.
