Co-Arc International collaborated with Varoom in the design of the Labadi Beach Hotel’s interiors to ensure that the refurbished rooms and facilities echoed the fresh approach detailed in the architecture, and to maintain the distinctly Ghanaian feel.

Co-Arc was responsible for the design of the existing rooms, suites and central facilities, while Varoom produced the spa and the soft furnishings of the project.

Highlights formed using a rich palette of local materials, colours and textures set against a neutral colour palette produced a modern yet classic Ghanaian aesthetic with true longevity. The neutral colour palette was implemented to complement the existing traditional form and materials. The sense of relaxed opulence result largely from the bold use of timber throughout.

The aim of the interiors is to evoke African luxury that enhances the visitor’s experience of the hotel and of the city.
